Hoping to make a “dent in the universe” Austin Williams founded Compass in 2012 with an eye on developing East Tennessee’s future. After graduating from Carson Newman University in 2010 with a B.S. in Business Administration, Austin spent a few years working in the finance field in Knoxville before returning home to Sevierville where he now resides with his wife, Katie, and young twins, Rhett and Harper.
Deeply rooted in Sevier County, he graduated from Sevier County High School with the distinction of Salutatorian and starred on the football field and track team. A passion for his hometown has led him to being involved with numerous civic organizations in a multitude of roles. A graduate of Leadership Tomorrow, Leadership Sevier and East Tennessee Region Leadership, he now serves Sevier County Quarterback Club as Chairman, Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and United Way of Sevier County Board of Directors. He has also served in the past on the Carson-Newman Alumni Board, Sevier County Republican Party Board, and was co-founded of Young Executives of Sevierville.
As Chairman of the Sevierville Commons Association, his efforts to revitalize downtown Sevierville have been recognized by The Mountain Press and other local media outlets. His hopes for Compass is to continue to turn dreams into realities for others through development.
