Compass founder Austin Williams chairs the Sevierville Commons Association, an organization dedicated to the well-being of downtown Sevierville. SCA efforts were crucial in developing streetscape plans for downtown that will include placing unsightly power lines underground, improving the area’s walkability by widening sidewalks and beautifying downtown with enhanced landscaping.
Recently purchasing the BB&T building on East Main Street in Downtown Sevierville, Compass intends to renovate four of the buildings five stories creating a multitude of opportunity for local businesses to set up headquarters in the heart of Sevierville. Doing so will create opportunities for entrepreneurs to centrally locate their offices in one of Sevier County’s premier locations.
Popular attractions like the Dolly Parton Statue and Sevier County Heritage Museum bring already plenty of foot traffic to downtown Sevierville, as do events like the Bloomin’ BBQ and Bluegrass Festival and Bruce Street Brewfest. Restaurants like Bistro 109 and the brand new Graze Burgers provide luxury dining experiences for visitors. Compass will continue to work with city officials and organizations, like the Sevierville Commons Association, to return downtown Sevierville to its glory days and increase its visibility as a tourism destination.
